Privacy Policy

Straight answers in Q&A form. No legalese where we can avoid it.

Effective: August 2026 · Last updated: September 2026

TL;DR

Copydeck keeps your clipboard history only on your Mac. There is no account, no sign-up, and no tracking. Copydeck makes no network connections to send your data anywhere — no analytics, no ads, no servers. Text recognition in images (OCR) runs entirely on your device. If you turn on iCloud sync, your history syncs across your own devices through your private iCloud account, which only you can access.

Who runs Copydeck?

Who is responsible for the app?

Copydeck is made by Muratcan Yusufoğlu, an independent developer. For any privacy question, write to myapps.feature@gmail.com.

What Copydeck stores

What data does Copydeck keep?

Copydeck saves what you copy — text, rich text, links, and images — as a searchable history on your Mac, inside the app's sandbox container. That's it.

Do you collect any personal information?

No. Copydeck has no analytics, no telemetry, no tracking, and no advertising. The developer receives no data about you or what you copy.

Does anything I copy leave my Mac?

No. Copydeck makes no network requests to transmit your clipboard. Your history never leaves your device (unless you enable iCloud sync — see below).

Images and OCR

You recognize text in my images — where does that happen?

Entirely on your Mac, using Apple's built-in on-device Vision framework. Images and their recognized text are never uploaded anywhere.

Permissions

What about launch at login?

Optional. It registers Copydeck as a login item through the system service. No data is involved.

iCloud sync (optional)

If I turn on iCloud sync, who can see my history?

Only you. Sync uses your own private iCloud account (Apple CloudKit) to move your history between your devices. The developer has no access to this data, and it is not stored on any server we control. It's off by default.

Purchases

How are Copydeck Pro purchases handled?

Entirely by Apple, through the App Store. Copydeck only asks StoreKit whether Pro is unlocked. The developer never sees your payment details, Apple ID, or any personal information from the purchase.

Sensitive content

Will Copydeck capture passwords?

Copydeck automatically ignores clipboard content marked as concealed or transient (for example, by password managers). You can also add any app to an exclusion list so Copydeck never captures from it.

Your control

How do I delete my data?

Delete any item, clear your whole history, or set an automatic retention limit — all inside the app. Since everything is stored locally, removing the app removes its data too.

Children

Is Copydeck for children?

Copydeck is a general-purpose utility and does not target children. Because it collects no personal data, it poses no data-collection risk to any age group.

Changes

Will this policy change?

If it does, we'll update this page and the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be reflected in a new app release.
